Royal Clowns

James Delingpole::

Prince William has confirmed that he’s at least as dodgy a kingly prospect as his father the Prince of Wales by calling for a ‘Reset.’

William, who is second in line to the British throne, slipped the codeword into a video broadcast for the environmental charity Conservation International.

‘All of us, across all sectors of society, and in every corner of the globe must come together to fundamentally reset our relationship with nature and our trajectory as a species.’

First it was Charles, Then it was Harry and Meghan Markle. Now it’s William.

I’m getting sick of all these noisy princes.

They’re a bunch of woke clowns.

What do they know that I don’t?

The Queen seems to be the only royal with her head screwed on properly.

What’s going to happen when she’s gone? I expect the public standing of the royal family will collapse. She’s the only one keeping it afloat.

She’s always stayed above politics. But the rest of these clowns don’t.

The French had a revolution 200 years ago. The Russians had one 100 years ago. Perhaps it’s Britain’s turn next. Who’s going to be our next Oliver Cromwell?

P.S. RIP Prince Philip. James Delingpole:

The late Duke of Edinburgh was no fool. One way he showed this was in his attitude to the climate change scare: unlike his idiot son Charles or his brainwashed grandsons William and Harry, he knew it to be a load of old nonsense

The Royal family seem to believe, except Prince Andrew, that they have to be popular like entertainment celebrities or politicians. No need when one by fortune of birth holds an hereditary not elected role, not reliant on election or tabloid publicity. More evidence of preoccupation with issues mainly of little concern to others except “the world would be better if” social engineers.

Frank, as a natural cavalier I want none of your here today gone tomorrow presidents any more than I wanted the socialists smokefree pubs.

Frank, there are a few broken links on your blogroll, which I might get to point out later if not discovered by you yourself first, but I think more immediately, especially after the abruptly cut short most recent Forest zoom event, no chance to mix and mingle afterward as one might have at a live speaker event, which I found disappointing, that you need to update the link to the smokydrinkybar, in the second picture link you have for the Smoky Drinky Blog, – in
    – it should point within to the new link
instead of the now defunct appear in smokydrinkybar as it has been up until now.

The picture link above it, Smoky Drinky Bar, is correctly linked.

I found the Forest zoom call a bit disappointing because it was cut off so early, after a few questions. There were several 10s of people there, blog commentators, who might have appreciated a chance to interact with each other as with any live event after the speaker.

I saw Pat Nurse, John Mallon, a few others I hardly knew of, and SBD regulars as well.

It would be nice if some of them at least could be attracted to participate in the SBD too.
Some new folk to talk with as well as the usual few regulars… maybe updated links will help?

Anyway I’ve made a comment there now, at least re desirable after talk in a Forest zoom…

There were so many people there, one wonders how one could meet them at the SDB too?

    Cheers, best wishes, kind regards,

I’ve posted this (still in moderation) at Simon Clark’s blog, after the zoom meeting.
    (My previous comment was allowed.)

Just an attempt to bring more folk to the SBD:

Perhaps I could add that most Friday and sometimes Saturday nights, perhaps from 10pm or earlier UK time, Frank Davis hosts a virtual smoker friendly drinks bar at

I know that some of the regulars there were at the zoom meeting as well;- all others would be welcome too.

Come and meet … folk from the UK, US, Denmark, NZ and?

Let’s see … whether anybody takes any notice, turns up, says hello, hi !
