House minority leader Kevin McCarthy said yesterday:
“They have let her walk — Speaker Pelosi walk them out on a ledge. And they’ve got no place to go now.”
She walked them out onto a ledge, and then… they all jumped off. It’s the collective suicide of the Democratic party. There’s nothing historic about it. It’s simply ridiculous.
They’ve impeached Donald Trump because they don’t like him, that’s all. Rush Limbaugh:
“I also understand that much of the hatred for Trump has nothing to do with policy. It’s all about ancillary things, his personality, his tweeting, his manner of speaking and the apparent lack of restraint, the manners, this kind of thing, all which I think is really a bunch of phony, bogus garbage. These people that are offering that kind of criticism, they’re not the paragons of virtue that they apparently think they are. In fact, that’s one of the things I find most amusing about it.”
They’re small-minded people parading their small-mindedness for all to see. And they’re going nowhere with it. Rush Limbaugh again:
“The Democrats know it. The Drive-By Media knows it. American leftists know it. They know they’ve bombed out. They know that this is a gigantic failure and a gigantic zero. And they know that they are trending in the wrong direction. They also know that there’s nothing here. Nobody is reacting to a president being impeached in any way different than they react to any news story during the week.”
My guess: I think this is all going to blow back very badly on the Democratic party. If it goes to trial in the Senate, it’s not going to be the trial of Donald Trump: it’s going to be the trial of Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff and Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton and all the rest of them. They’re all going to be called to testify in the Senate, if Trump gets his way. And in the elections next year, the Democrats are going to lose everything. Absolutely everything.
