Getting Biblical

Headline I noticed this morning:

UK weather ALERT: Heavy snow, ice, rain & floods as ‘biblical’ weather continues

‘Biblical’ is the operative word here. And the biblical event referenced is The Flood.

But we live in ‘biblical’ times, it would seem.  We are being told, in all seriousness, that if we don’t do something about Carbon, we will face The End Of The World in 11 years time. We are told in all seriousness that we are facing a Climate Crisis, and even a Climate Catastrophe.

It’s not just that there are a few people wearing placards on the street saying that The End Of The World Is Nigh, but that we have entire industries devoted to telling us this. We have the entire mainstream media setting out, quite deliberately, to start a global panic.

And the Extreme Weather warnings that we’re now being fed are all part of a process of mass deception, a vast campaign of lies, all designed to ramp up fear, start panic, and stampede people into doing whatever the media manipulators want us to do.

Weather and climate have become interchangeable terms. And hot has become indistinguishable from cold. Even a blanket of snow becomes a premonition of global warming.

Weather forecasters are now in the front lines of this campaign. And artists and illustrators have been enlisted to depict the coming End Of The World in ways that reproduce the art of Hieronymus Bosch, or the imagery of Dante’s Inferno.

Look at this work of art:

Doesn’t it fill you with fear and foreboding? Are those ice sheets advancing from Russia and Norway and Iceland? How can we possibly survive such frosty Global Warming? We’re doomed. Doomed, I tell ye. Doomed.

And that’s exactly what it’s supposed to do: fill you with fear and foreboding.

There’s no appeal to reason here. It’s a pure invocation of emotion. And to ram the message hone, you don’t just invoke chiiiildren. No, you get an actual child – Greta Thunberg – to bully and browbeat the United Nations, bully and browbeat the whole world.

Hillary Clinton has said male politicians are “scared” of teenage climate campaigner Greta Thunberg.

The former US secretary of state, 72, was speaking in London last night alongside her daughter Chelsea to launch the book they have co-written.

The Book Of Gutsy Women: Favourite Stories Of Courage And Resilience is about the women who have inspired them, including the 16-year-old Swedish founder of the international youth movement against climate change.

Clinton said: “I thought we’ll put her in the book because we had read about her lonely, solitary climate strike in front of the Swedish parliament and we were so moved by it.

“It’s been fascinating to watch how scared a lot of grown male leaders are of this young 16-year-old girl.”

We should all be scared about the death of reason. For that’s what this is. You don’t try and do any science: you just conjure up a little girl with paranormal powers.

We’re as much living in the Dark Ages today as we’ve ever been. Ours is a demon-haunted world. It’s just that we have new demons these days. New terrors. New nightmares.

  1. Yes, I’m sick of all these bloody locusts. Are they bad round your way?

  2. Timothy Goodacre says:

Hilary Clinton hates smokers. These ‘undemocratic’ arseholes delight in telling us how to live our lives. Sooner she goes back to America the better. Trump was right about her ‘liar’ !

    • Hilary Clinton hates smokers.
Hilary Clinton hates everything. Back in the 90s she was a very much publicized humiliated wife in a family that craved power.
Her hatred towards smokers probably was stronger than the hatred to a husband who forfeited his career for a quick fuck with a Monica Lewinsky (?+several others).

I feel sorry for her. Power craving made her a joke.

When ever anyone mentions Greta Thunberg, I think of Joan of Arc

“At her trial, Joan stated that she was about 19 years old, which implies she thought she was born around 1412. She later testified that she experienced her first vision in 1425 at the age of 13, when she was in her “father’s garden” and saw visions of figures she identified as Saint Michael, Saint Catherine, and Saint Margaret, who told her to drive out the English and take the Dauphin to Reims for his consecration. She said she cried when they left, as they were so beautiful.

At the age of 16, she asked a relative named Durand Lassois to take her to the nearby town of Vaucouleurs, where she petitioned the garrison commander, Robert de Baudricourt, for an armed escort to take her to the French Royal Court at Chinon. Baudricourt’s sarcastic response did not deter her.

She returned the following January and gained support from two of Baudricourt’s soldiers: Jean de Metz and Bertrand de Poulengy.

According to Jean de Metz, she told him that “I must be at the King’s side … there will be no help (for the kingdom) if not from me. Although I would rather have remained spinning [wool] at my mother’s side … yet must I go and must I do this thing, for my Lord wills that I do so.”

Under the auspices of Jean de Metz and Bertrand de Poulengy, she was given a second meeting, where she made a prediction about a military reversal at the Battle of Rouvray near Orléans several days before messengers arrived to report it.
According to the Journal du Siége d’Orléans, which portrays Joan as a miraculous figure, Joan came to know of the battle through “grace divine” while tending her flocks in Lorraine and used this divine revelation to persuade Baudricort to take her to the Dauphin.”

Don’t forget the biblical flood in Venice–the worst since ( though not quite as bad as) the one there in 1966. Which was undoubtedly caused by retroactive global warming (or secondhand smoke).

Well apologies, Joe, but buckothemoose made a funny and I laughed.
I wanted to look at your linked article, but the site asked me to ‘allow ads, to pay for their journalists,’ and I won’t do that for NBC, which is obviously, fake news.
The progressive agenda is like any other that’s gone before. When attitudes change, they’ll melt away like morning mist and morph into whatever’s ‘modern.’
They have no morals, no compass and they hardly know up from down, let alone male from female. Who could possibly truly love them, but someone with an agenda will use them.
We should be thankful, I guess, that we are not them.

Since when is child abuse gutsy?
