Terrifying Clouds

I thought this was a most remarkable cloud:

It looks to me like the base of it is only about 15 feet above ground, and if you were standing in the field, you could jump up and touch it.

I’ve never seen anything like it.

But if seems they’re quite common.

I think I’d be terrified if I saw something like that in Herefordshire.

But we don’t get clouds like that in Herefordshire, do we?

Do we?

Do we?

Hi Frank, I just listened to a really interesting talk that Leggy put me on to. It might be of interest for you with your Ice Theory. The chap giving it starts with a terrifying cloud ;)

I’d thought of this one, found some years earlier, labelled as Cyclone Graham 02.
Tin eye brings me to Snopes, so I think Oz rather than US Isabel, noted.

If so, perhaps a cyclone off Australia.

    Steering around it?
    Is it retreating or advancing?

Admiration for merchant seamen & women!
