Infowars Banned

Alex Jones has been predicting this for years. From Infowars.com

Apple, Spotify, Facebook and YouTube all banned Infowars within 12 hours of each other, illustrating how last night’s purge was a coordinated effort and has nothing to do with these platforms enforcing “hate speech” rules.

Here are the real reasons Infowars is being purged by Big Tech;

– Infowars is widely credited with having played a key role in electing Donald Trump. By banning Infowars, big tech is engaging in election meddling just three months before crucial mid-terms.

– With the Infowars ban, Apple, Facebook , Spotify & YouTube (Google) have all now ascribed themselves the power to remove people & outlets from their platforms based on their political opinions. This power will be abused time and time again to meddle in elections.

– The ban also sets the precedent that the mere charge alone of having committed “hate speech,” with no specific examples even provided, is enough to memory hole an individual or group’s digital presence.

– The ban is just part of a wider censorship purge that also use stealth censorship, shadow banning and algorithmic manipulation to hide and bury conservative content.

Paul Joseph Watson has asked people to spread this video:

Very likely it will be deleted too. But the last thing he says is:

“You can frame us, defame us, ban us, sue us, imprison us. It doesn’t matter. Because the horse has already bolted. The worldwide populist surge cannot be muted. It cannot be unpublished. It cannot be unlisted. It cannot be deleted. Whatever you do, it cannot and will not be silenced.”

Almost as interesting to me was a long article in Mediamatters complaining about global warming sceptics being allowed on Facebook:

he [Zuckerberg] is not using the immense power of his platform to halt misinformation about climate change.

That’s a naked call for censorship. Opposing viewpoints must not be allowed to be heard.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I automatically become interested in anything that’s banned.

So smokaphobe Alex Jones has been exiled to the ‘outside’.

Yup. With you again 100% RBD. I can’t help a wry smile when I see people who have enthusiastically embraced the whole anti-smoking movement’s trash squealing like stuck pigs once the same tactics are applied to them, but it’s incredibly frustrating that even when under attack themselves they still resolutely refuse to make the connection, and the fact that by failing to stop and think “Wait a minute, this sounds a tad familiar. Let’s just go back and look at …” they essentially render all of their protestations about “the unfairness of it all” null and void. Because if the tactics are OK for one group, ergo they must be OK for another group, n’est ce pas? Anything else is just hypocrisy. I’ve often said this about drinkers and, latterly, obese people. Their wilful – and it is just wilful – blindness, simply because they can’t swallow their pride and admit that they’ve been duped good and proper by the anti-smokers, will for sure cost them very dearly. Can’t say they weren’t warned, though, can they?

The leftists are just shooting themsleves in the foot again.

What better way to recruit new Republican voters?

  5. Frank, OT, but I came across a great book you should procure. It’s ‘The Logic of Liberty’ by Michael Polanyi.

This is the Tobacco Control template in action. TC plastered the media outlets with quotes from “experts”/”authorities” making claims that passive tobacco smoke causes nearly every conceivable disease. However, they never provided any evidence or examples to support these claims (because there was never one study that even indicated a statistically-significant correlation). And yet, they succeeded in burning this untruth into the memories of millions of people, and in turn catalyzed the enactment of numerous unjust smoking bans.

This is a vulgar display of power by Apple, Spotify, Facebook and Google. If only Alex Jones could see/admit the similarities of the demonization of free speech to the demonization of tobacco.

    • Smoking Lamp says:

Joe, You are absolutely right. Tobacco control propaganda plan is a classic information operation designed to shape opinion, suppress and censor dissent, and impose social control. The data supporting the risk assessments was exaggerated at best and fabricated when needed, Any one offering a dissenting or alternate view was hectored, bullied, and ruthlessly attacked. All of these measure s more suitable for an authoritarian or totalitarian regime and adverse to the principles of a free, democratic society.

The social controllers seeking to quell political dissent are following the same temple. Indeed, a recent report from the Brookings Institution argues that the antismoking template is ideal for fighting disinformation Of course it is , it was an information operation to begin with. They ignore the fact that the tobacco control propaganda exploited ‘disinformation’, ‘misinformation;, and propaganda to achieve its goals. Check out the Brookings op-ed “Why the U.S. anti-smoking campaign is a great model for fighting disinformation” which was initially published at the Washington Post https://www.brookings.edu/blog/order-from-chaos/2018/08/07/why-the-u-s-anti-smoking-campaign-is-a-great-model-for-fighting-disinformation/ .

Another poignant example of this manipulation through propaganda is seen in the tomes of long-time antismoker Professor John Banzhaf who wring about the recent HUD smoking ban in public housing asserts there is “no right to smoke”. His latest screed “Right-To-Smoke Myth Shattered by HUD’s National Smoking Ban — Public Interest Law Professor John Banzhaf” at https://menafn.com/1097258895/RightToSmoke-Myth-Shattered-by-HUDs-National-Smoking-BanPublic-Interest-Law-Professor-John-Banzhaf# is worth looking at to see the propaganda being used to fuel the persecution of smokers. It should be no surprise that there is no option to comment activated at either roof these cites. Propaganda and censorship reject the concept of debate or comment–informed or otherwise. SL

      • Joe L. says:

Their claim of “fighting disinformation” is the epitome of Orwellian Newspeak.

Tobacco Control spread lies about the supposed harms of passive tobacco smoke, and this attack on Infowars involves making unsubstantiated, false accusations of “hate speech” against Jones.

The social engineers are not fighting disinformation, they are trying to control the behaviors of society and suppress free thought and dissent by actually spreading disinformation, while claiming to be doing the exact opposite.

      • waltc says:

Except Audrey isn’t arguing for a “right to smoke” but a constitutionally protected (and she’s got the case law to prove it) right to privacy in the home. Among other angles in the case.

        • Smoking Lamp says:

Antismokers aren’t interested in facts. They ignore any fact or legal precedent that gets in the way of their ideology. Recall Banzhaf and ASH at large have no interest in privacy, the law, or precedent but rather a desire to impose their antismoking ideology on others.

  7. waltc says:

It’s gone dangerously further than just social media. Nothing came of this but…

“…a call by Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) for an investigation under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) of “corporations and other organizations that have knowingly deceived the American people about the risks of climate change, as a means to forestall America’s response to climate change.” (In May, Sen. Whitehouse wrote a Washington Post op-ed calling for a civil investigation of the fossil fuel industry and its “campaign to mislead the American people,” which would determine if a civil RICO prosecution was warranted…”

  8. John says:

Actually, it is, “they first came for the smokers and Alex Jones did not care”, now they come for him but there are many smokers no longer there to defend him since they have been not only banned but not permitted freedom of assembly nor freedom of speech, if they mediated in concentration while smoking, denied freedom of religion and no freedom to petition the governments against cruel smoking bans – in fact, smokers lost their First Amendment rights starting decades ago, especially in California, where the plan seems to be, make tobacco illegal, bankrupt the tobacco companies and take over the profits and tax revenues by converting everyone over to marijuana, now legalized statewide, thus all those landowners who leased their lands to illegal marijuana farms can now come out into the open and the new legalized non-banned government preferred marijuana smokers will be high enough from their smoking, they will not complain about losing their First Amendment rights in other ways, such as banning on the internet and the First Amendment can finally be destroyed.

First they came for the smokers.
And I was not a smoker so I did not care.
Then they came for the fatties.
And I was not a fatty so I did not care.
Then they came for the drinkers.
And I did not drink, so I did not care.
Then they came for the internet, shutting down sights, banning discourse, banning ad revenues from popular sites not in accord with official dictate, banning use of Paypal by these sights, cutting millions off from everything smokers were cut off from, decades early – namely speech, assembly, religion and redress of grievances.
And – then I CARED – BUT – it was too damn late !!

Sad to say this, but Alex Jones should have KNOWN this was coming, decades earlier, instead of thinking how lily-wonderful perfect his city of Austin, Texas was for implementing smoking bans EVERYWHERE CITY-WIDE – yet he “did not care”.
